
About Preeti Sondur
Always a learner with passion for excellence in performance, born on February 2nd 1992, Kum. Preeti, took to the classical art of Bharatanatyam at the tender age of 4years. During her years of learning, she had the privilege of completing her Arangetram on the auspicious occasion of Guru Poornima, on the 12th of July 2014.
She has had the opportunity of presenting several public programs featured in the Ranganatha Swamy temple, Guruvayur temple, Karur Natyanjali, Tirupathi temple, Thanjavur Brihadeeshwara temple, TEDx Mysore, Dasami festival, Anusham Fine Arts Mylapore, Shanmukhapriya Natyanjali Chembur, International Sahaja Yoga Seminar Cabella Ligure Italy, Public Performance at Nantes-France, Kalotsav 2020, Naatya Sabha Mysore, and many other prestigious forums in and around India. She has also had the opportunity of featuring in a music video produced by Pebble Studios.
She has had the privilege of getting the knowledge of Taalas by attending the Taalam classes under the tutelage of renowned Mrindangist Vidwan. Shri. N. Narayana Swamy and the art of Nattuvangam under the esteemed guidance of Karnataka Kalashree Guru. Shri. Kiran Subramanyam. She has also attended workshops and classes conducted by renowned danseuse Smt. Bragha Bessell and Dr. Guru. Sucheta Bhide Chapekar, Director of Kala Vardhini, Pune.
She and her institute Natarang School of Dance, is a certified member of the International Council for Dance, CID, UNESCO, France. She is a member of the National Classical Dance Academy.
She is also the Winner of a State Level Pageant and has won titles like Best Skin, Photogenic and Artistic Queen.
She has completed her MA in Performing Arts (Dance, Music and Theatre) from Christ University Bangalore, under the able guidance of renowned Gurus of Bharatanatyam. She has completed a General Executive Management Program in Media and Entertainment Business from the Indian Institute Of Management Bangalore (IIMB). She also has an Executive MBA in Talent Management from XLRI Jamshedpur. She is a certified Yoga Instructor in Hatha Yoga from a1000 Yoga Academy and also has a certification in Voice Over and Dubbing. She has also trained in Contemporary and other dance forms from Attakalari Centre for Movement Arts (ACMA) and Lourd Vijay’s Dance Studio (LVDS).
She has been honoured with the “Apratima Kannadati Rashtra Prashasti” for her contribution in the field of Performing Arts, and “Natya Shaakuntala Rajya Prashasti” by Aatmashri Kannada Samskrutika Pratishtana. She has also received numerous awards in various prestigious platforms such as the Nritya Vidushi Award, National Natya Kala Ratna Award, National Natya Shiromani Award, Kala Yashaswi, National Kala Samman Award, Natyakalamani Award and many more. She is currently the G100 Maharashtra State Chair India - Arts, Leadership and Films Wing. She has also received a certification from the World Book Of Records, London UK, for performing the Purna Vande Mataram with 200 Artists – Dancers and Musicians together on one stage on International Day of Yoga 2025 at Bengaluru.
Practicing Sahaja Yoga, a unique form of meditation through self- realization propounded by H.H Shree Mataji Nirmala Devi, is immensely helping her in expressing herself in the divine art form of Bharatanatyam and in the journey of life.

MOTTO
Natarang School of Dance was born as an institution on the day of Guru Poornima on July 31st, 2014, and has been evolving since then, carrying forward strongly the moto of “Yoga Mukhena Nrityam”, meaning Spiritual Awakening through Dance.
AIM
The Founder and Artistic Director Ms. Preeti, aims at not just training young children in the divine art of Bharatanatyam, but also at invoking in the young generations, the dedication and love for the art form, commitment to the country, its tradition and culture, and devotion and surrender to the almighty with the belief that:
Divinity is not only in God, but Divinity is within You.
As Michelangelo has rightly said: “The true work of Art is but a shadow of the Divine Perfection”.
She believes: "Beauty is not with one’s external looks, but the real beauty of a human being is seen only through his character."

OBJECTIVE
The Institute, and the Guru along with the support of her parents, well-wishers, the students, and their parents; aim to work at building Quality through Performance and Personality.
Through the institute, students have had the opportunity to showcase their talents during the Bala Pratibha Utsav and various interschool competitions which have won them laurels in every field, be it Art, Music, Dance, Debate, Shloka Recitation, etc.
The institute provides a platform for the students to enhance their performance skills and gives the audience a flavour of different genres of Dance like – Bollywood, Semi Classical, Contemporary and Folk Dances, during Nrityaavishkaar – The Annual Celebration of the Institution and special presentations such as Samarpan, dedicated to passion and dedication of a dancer.
The students at the institute have also performed at Hassan, the Jaganmohana Palace Mysore, Mahathi auditorium Tirupathi, Abuji Baba Auditorium Ooty, All India Sai Samaj Mylapore Chennai, The Dasami Festival Odukathur Mutt, Kalotsav Bangalore, Thyagaraja Gana Sabha Hyderabad, Central West Library Bangalore, Chikmangalur, Mantralayam and many more such prestigious platforms all over India.
The Institute Natarang School of Dance is a certified member of the International Council for Dance, UNESCO France, and a member of the National Classical Dance Academy.
The students of the Institution have appeared for the Bharatanatyam Examinations through the Bangiya Sangeet Parishad Board of Kolkata, have all been promoted with First class and Distinctions.
The students of the institution have won various National Awards such as the National Govindamrutha Award at the All-India National Classical Dance Festival Tirupathi, National Excellent Dancer Award at Mysore, Best Talent Dancer Award at Ooty, National Natya Ratna Award at Chennai, National Natyasri Award at Hyderabad, National Natya Mayuri Award at Bangalore and many more. The students at the institute have also received a certification from the World Book of Records, London UK, for performing the Purna Vande Mataram with 200 Artists – Dancers and Musicians together on one stage on International Day of Yoga 2025 at Bengaluru.
